A ceiling, not a meter.

Every plan states how many events it accepts each month. When you reach it we stop and tell you. There is no per-event overage, because there is no meter running in the background waiting to be reconciled.

The questions worth answering

What happens at the event ceiling?
Ingestion stops and the dashboard tells you how many events were turned away. Nothing is billed on top, and the issues you already have stay exactly where they are. We warn you at 80% so the ceiling is never the first you hear of it.
Is this really compatible with my Sentry SDK?
Yes — it is the same wire protocol, so the official SDKs work unmodified. You change the DSN and nothing else. Source maps, releases, environments, breadcrumbs and alert integrations all behave the way they already do.
What is actually running underneath?
GlitchTip, which is MIT licensed, on Postgres. We are not affiliated with Sentry and we do not claim to be. Because there is no Kafka or ClickHouse in the path, a flat price is something we can sustain rather than withdraw in a year.
How long do you keep events?
Seven days on the trial, thirty on Hobby and Team, ninety on Business. A nightly job removes anything older, which is also why the price does not drift upwards over time.
Can I leave?
Yes. Point your DSN back at Sentry, or self-host GlitchTip — it is open source. We will help you export.
